On Sunday, September 1, 2024, a fourth zone – 103 Maples – will be added to the service.
People travelling in the new zone will be able to access On-Request on:
- Weekdays from 9:20 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Weekends and holidays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Transit is also pairing the On-Request zone with a new route in the area for neighbourhoods without existing service. Route 334 Adsum will link the Castlebury Meadows and Waterford Green neighbourhoods to Garden City Shopping Centre during peak times.
I have received lots of input from area residents about the need for reliable transit service,” said Devi Sharma, Councillor of Old Kildonan. “I was happy to advocate through the budget for increased transit service, and I am thrilled to see that come to fruition through the expansion of Winnipeg Transit On-Request to Old Kildonan.”
